How many EU trademarks did Poland file in 2025?

In 2025, Polish entities filed a total of 7,829 EU trademarks (EUTM) with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). That places Poland fifth among all EU countries, with Polish filings accounting for close to 7% of all applications from EU-27 member states.

Even more impressive, filings grew by 11.6% compared with 2024. That momentum shows how committed Polish businesses have become to protecting their brands in the European market. Poland sits right at the front of the EU pack, just behind Germany (24,949), Italy (13,502), Spain (12,687) and France (9,181).

EUIPO data shows that trademark filings from Poland keep growing year after year. Polish companies have learned to use the European brand registration system effectively, recognizing how much trademark protection matters for competitiveness in international markets.

An EU trademark is one of the most practical ways to protect a mark throughout the European Union. Effective, relatively inexpensive compared with country-by-country registration and easy to manage, EUTM registration is becoming the standard for businesses focused on European expansion.
